Do you love meeting new people?
As a customer service volunteer, you will be the face of our shops, greeting everyone with a smile and a warm welcome. You will work alongside a fantastic team of staff and volunteers, helping to create a great shopping experience that will keep bringing our customers back and recommending us to others.
Where:6 West Street Havant PO9 1PF
When:Monday to Saturday
Usual minimum commitment:4-hour weekly morning or afternoon session
What you’ll be doing:
• Greeting customers and creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere
• Serving customers on the till, handling cash and card payments
• Talking about Gift Aid, explaining why it is important and helping customers sign up
• Prepared to regularly replenish stock (such as clothes, bric a brac etc)
• Keeping the shop floor looking great by tidying displays, refilling clothes rails and general housekeeping
• Occasionally helping in our Furniture Showroom (run on the same site)

Your skills and abilities:
• Friendly manner – good with people
• Retail experience is always welcomed but not essential as training will be given
• An Interest in clothing, books, records, fashion is also welcomed
• You may be required to stand for long periods – Let us know if you have mobility problems
Expectations:
• To attend a Welcome day and participate in any training relevant to the role
• You will need to be reliable, flexible and willing to assist the manager
• Be committed to good customer service
• Work as part of a team of staff and volunteers
