Job summary

St Joseph’s Hospice in London is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join the Volunteers team. You will onboard all new volunteers from recruitment to completion and provide a comprehensive, high-quality support service to teams and volunteers across the Hospice.

The role requires strong administration experience and a commitment to working in a charity environment, with excellent communication and IT skills to manage databases, inductions and volunteer records.

Salary: Band 4 - £30,663.89 - £34,743.44 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of work: 37.5 per week

About the job role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Volunteer Coordinator in our Volunteers team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in administration and supporting the public and working in a charity environment. The Coordinator role will involve onboarding all new volunteers from recruitment to completion, providing a comprehensive and high-quality support service to teams and volunteers across the Hospice.

About you
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to people from wide variety of backgrounds.
  • Excellent IT Skills such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases & Internet
  • PR and presentation skills e.g. ability to present Dept. at Induction training and meetings
  • Understanding and appreciation of the reasons why people volunteer.
