Overview

Due to the retirement of our current Chair, we are seeking an inspirational leader to Chair our Board of Trustees.

As Chair of Trustees, you’ll make a tangible difference in people’s lives, help shape the future of a respected charity, work with a passionate team, and be part of our growth and development to ensure our sustainability and impact.

What are we looking for?
  • Effective leadership skills and strong governance knowledge, ideally with Board experience.
  • A collaborative approach with the Board and CEO to establish vision, mission, and strategic direction.
  • Ability to act as an ambassador for the charity.
  • Knowledge of the Charity and/or Healthcare sectors is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities

The new Chair will lead our highly committed board, support our 5-year strategy, and advocate for our mission. The role involves attending bi-monthly meetings, preparing for meetings, collaborating with the CEO, liaising with Board members, and attending events. The expected time commitment is 7-10 hours per month.
