Join a compassionate initiative aimed at supporting unpaid carers in Surrey. As a volunteer at one of the drop-in Hubs, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for those who care for others. Your empathetic nature will help make a difference by offering a listening ear and guiding carers to the appropriate support. This role not only provides an opportunity to give back to the community but also allows you to gain valuable experience and training while working alongside dedicated staff. Volunteering within your local community, you will provide help and support at one of our drop-in Hubs for Surrey’s unpaid carers.
We have 15 Hubs running across Surrey, each one takes place two days a month (see map of locations below).
Working alongside a paid member of staff you, you will:
In return, Action for Carers will provide you with a warm welcome and induction, training opportunities, regular ‘check ins’ with our Sessional and Volunteer Coordinator and agreed expenses.
We are particularly looking for volunteers who can help out in our hubs in Godalming, Guildford, Camberley, Banstead, Merstham and Farnham.
