Job description

Role:
A befriender provides company and companionship for a local person struggling with loneliness, for whom your support will make the world of difference. Befrienders are matched with clients with whom they then have regular contact, spending time together or chatting over the phone each week. Both clients and befrienders come from a broad range of ages and walks of life.

Time commitment:
1 – 3 hours per week or fortnight. Volunteers are able to specify which days and hours they would like to commit to. The service covers North Norfolk and parts of Broadland. Volunteers can specify an area/location where they would like to do their volunteering.

About the organisation:
CAN Connect is delivered by Community Action Norfolk and Future Projects and covers North Norfolk, Breckland and parts of Broadland. It is part of a range of services across Norfolk aimed at reducing loneliness and isolation.
