Description of role:

The Membership and Engagement Advisor is responsible for supporting branches and all other volunteers of The Welding Institute in providing learning, development and networking opportunities for Individual Members and potential new members from diverse backgrounds. This will involve active engagement with the institute learned society via our institute branches and other volunteers to identify, develop and improve communication channels and governance processes to enable Institute volunteers and the Executive of TWI to act in a coordinated way to drive member value growth and recruitment.

The Membership and Engagement Advisor must engage with members and stakeholders at all levels within the engineering sector to ensure a suitable and trained pipeline of volunteers to sustain the institute as well as supporting the institute learned society/the branches. The role also includes the management of various working groups and committees as well as event organisation, promotion and delivery.
