Job Introduction

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers Volkswagen Coventry.

Hours of work are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, 8:30am to 1:00pm.

Our packages and pay plans are industry-leading and reflect each applicant's experience and skillset.

The basic salary starts from £32,000 up to £45,000. Bonus / OTEs range from £37,000 up to £48,000.

Role And Responsibilities
  • Our technicians are responsible for the servicing, repair and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard first time.
  • The main responsibilities include electrical and mechanical repairs, such as suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
  • Additional responsibilities may include repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles, using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack and control systems.
  • You will have the ability to fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
  • You will have a full understanding of Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
  • You will be trained and able to operate additional systems, such as video reporting (CitNOW).
  • You will complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
  • Work closely with other members of the workshop team to continually learn and share knowledge.
About You
  • We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who have experience in the Automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or Apprentice Vehicle Technician.
  • Whether you work at an independent garage, fast fit centre, car supermarket or main dealer, we would be interested in talking to you.
  • You hold or are working towards NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • MOT License would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Demonstrate good mechanical and electrical knowledge with the ability to ensure all work is carried out to a high standard; training and facilities will help you advance in your career.
