Job description

Overview

We are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers VW & Skoda dealership in Banbury. The role involves servicing, repair and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard first time.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts and air conditioning servicing.
• Repair and maintenance on electric and hybrid vehicles, including use of electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motor, auxiliary drive pack and control systems.
• Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
• Complete service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Work closely with other workshop team members to learn and share knowledge.
• You will be trained and able to operate additional systems, such as video reporting (e.g., CitNOW).
• Understand customer satisfaction and its impact on the business.

Qualifications & requirements

• As a minimum, hold or be working towards NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
• A MOT License would be beneficial but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
