Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled tradesperson for an eight-month contract with a local authority in Charnwood Borough. The role focuses on refurbishing void council properties and delivering high-quality joinery and multi-trade maintenance work.

You will perform joinery repairs, door hanging, kitchen fitting, tiling, and basic plumbing, while ensuring safety and quality. A full UK driving licence and your own tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in joinery and general property maintenance.
• Strong carpentry skills, including door hanging and kitchen fitting.
• Basic plumbing skills.
• Experience carrying out wall tiling.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery repairs and installations in void council properties.
• Complete basic plumbing tasks as required.
• undertake wall tiling to a good standard.
• Carry out general multi-trade maintenance work within void properties.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
• Work as part of the Voids Team to help minimise property turnaround times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Use Council-provided vehicle responsibly and in accordance with relevant policies.
