JOB DESCRIPTION
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a man living at home in Barry Island. I have multiple sclerosis and use a wheelchair. I am also partially sighted. I am looking to employ a PA to enable me to continue to live independently. I have many hobbies and interests and like to keep my brain active! I really enjoy general knowledge quizzes and have an interest in history. I like good conversation, listening to the radio, books, films and animals. I enjoy board games & card games and I do sometimes use a computer.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the job is to provide me with daily support to help me maintain my independence.
HOURS OF WORK
4 hors Monday-Friday 8:00 am -12:00 pm ideally, but open to discussion as long as it is in the morning for 4 hours.
2.5 hours potentially available on Saturdays. Please enquire about this if you are interested.
There will also be opportunity for overtime to cover my other PAs.
RATES OF PAY
£13.30 per hour weekday
£13.60 per hour weekend
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
· Assistance around the house with some light domestic tasks.
Meal preparations
· Assistance with some personal care.

ABOUT THE JOB
This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four-weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
