An exciting opportunity for a Personal Assistant to support an energetic young individual with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. This role involves assisting with public transport, personal care, and engaging in social activities like visiting arcades and watching football. The ideal candidate is confident, outgoing, and able to maintain a fun atmosphere while ensuring independence. If you are a spirited individual looking to make a positive impact in someone's life, this role is perfect for you.
I am a typical 18-year-old boy living in the area of Barry with my family. I am a cheeky chap, always happy and confident. I enjoy listening to rap music and playing on my Xbox. I was born with a diagnosis of Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, which affects both my arms and legs, and often my torso and face. I use an electric wheelchair to mobilise. I do not have any other health conditions. I like having a laugh, love making people smile, and can sometimes swear a lot. I enjoy banter with my peers.
I am looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) to support me in going out, socialising, and maintaining my independence. This includes accessing public transport and occasionally driving my van. Therefore, the PA must be confident in using public transport and hold a driver’s licence.
