Job description

Getting started. Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers.

What you'll do

Are you ready to lead large, complex, customer-facing projects and make a significant impact? As a Project Manager, you will deliver projects to time, cost, and quality criteria, operating within our established organisational delivery framework. This role is based at the customer site in Somerset for three days a week, where you will collaborate closely with the customer and engineers.

  • Create detailed project plans encompassing all deliverables & ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
  • Manage change control using the appropriate processes.
  • Create and sustain collaborative working relationships across customers, suppliers, and internal delivery teams, whilst defining clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Maintain a project finance tracker and utilize change control for cost variation from original baselines.
  • Manage project billing milestones within the designated management reporting tool.
  • Have a complete understanding of change control governance and procedures.
  • Comply with Vodafone Project Delivery Framework methodology supported by industry standards such as PRINCE2 Practitioner.
  • Establish and maintain a 'Risk and Issue' register, identifying new risks, responses, and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • A self-motivated individual with good organisational, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Proven leadership and collaborative skills to manage cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to various audiences using different tools and techniques.
  • Good understanding of project management planning tools and methodologies.
  • Significant proven experience managing large and complex projects, especially in the technology or telecoms sector.
  • Experience working in challenging customer-facing service and project environments.
  • Experience delivering projects in regulated construction environments requiring high health & safety standards.
  • Confidence operating in construction environments.
  • Eligibility for SC clearance, CCNSG for onsite access, and willingness to obtain a "Black Hat" qualification.
Working Hours & Location

Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday. This role is primarily home-based with occasional in-person meetings. Our 'Office in a Box' kit supports remote working.
