Permanent, Part Time (0.4)

14.4 hours a week over 36 weeks a year (Term Time Only)

The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is seeking a Vocational Skills Assessor to facilitate practical and online assessments of learners, as well as develop their commercial, employability, and enterprise skills.

You will assess learners across various programmes, including Level 1, 2, and 3 in Beauty Therapy and Customer Service, providing prompt and constructive feedback. You will ensure a strong client base in the College salons, meet income targets, and maintain a professional, safe, and secure environment during assessments.

The ideal candidate will hold professional qualifications from a recognized awarding body, such as TDLB Assessor Awards (D32, D33) or TDLB new A1 Award for Assessors, and an IV Award. Recent experience in the beauty therapy industry, either through professional development (CPD) or salon work, is required, along with at least a Level 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy. Excellent communication skills, patience, and good IT skills (or willingness to develop them) are essential.
