New Chapter Tuition Ltd in Basildon, Essex is recruiting a Vocational Education Mentor to support KS3–KS5 learners with SEMH, SEND, ADHD and behavioural needs. The role is hands-on, combining vocational instruction, practical learning and behaviour mentoring, including mechanics and motorsport activities.

You'll work 1:1 and with small groups, helping young people re-engage with education, build practical skills and confidence, while following safeguarding and DBS requirements.

Contract: Full Time | Permanent | Term Time Only

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm

New Chapter Tuition is recruiting a Vocational Education Mentor to join a specialist education provision in Basildon, supporting KS3–KS5 learners with SEMH, SEND, ADHD and behavioural needs.

This is a hands‑on role combining vocational instruction, practical learning and behaviour mentoring, including activities involving mechanics and motorsport.

Working 1:1 and with small groups of up to eight learners, you'll help young people re‑engage with education, develop practical skills and build confidence.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome candidates from education, youth work, behaviour support, alternative provision, mechanics, motorsport, coaching, Armed Forces or Cadet Forces backgrounds.

No teaching or mechanical qualification is required. We're looking for someone confident engaging young people, delivering practical activities and supporting learners with additional needs.
