An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Vocational Driver Trainer to join their dynamic team in Penistone. This permanent role involves providing top-notch training and assessments to ensure learners meet DVSA test standards. The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry leading client. We looking for Vocational Driver Trainers in the Peniston area to join the team on a permanent basis.
Job Title: Vocational Driver Trainer (HGV/PCV)
Location: Penistone (S36)
Salary: 30,000 - 34,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm however, may vary for hours on test days.
About the Role:
As a Driver Trainer, you will provide high quality training and assessments in line with the DVSA test standards.
Main duties will include:
- providing practical training to learners to ensure that they meet the required DVSA test standards
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to learners on their driving performance
- Carry out driving assessments in line with DVSA to evaluate skills and identify areas for development
- Provide objective and fair assessments of driving competence
- Deliver classroom courses, including driver CPC and in house courses
- Support learners with theory preparations
- Travel to corporate clients (all within the Sheffield area) to carry out risk assessments in line with their requirements
- Contribute to the development of vocational training sessions tailored to specific vehicles types and industry needs
- Ensure all training complies with relevant legislation and industry standards
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and best practices
- Promote safe driving and strong safety culture
- Maintain accurate records of training progress and assessments
- Communicate effectively with learners, office staff and management.
Requirements:
Minimum of 12 months with C&E & CAT D licence
Valid C+E & CAT D entitlement, CPC, and Digi Tacho card.
Experience in a driver training role would be beneficial
. Relevant vocational driving qualifications (DVLA driving instructor qualification or equivalent)
. Certificate in training practice (adult education) or equivalent would be beneficial
