Vocational Activities Assistant at Kerwin Court - Horsham

Pay Rate: Up to £23,000 per annum

Hours: 35 Hours per week - Monday to Friday 08.00-16.00

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Supporting service users to maximize independence and well-being through access to vocational, learning, and recreational opportunities.
  2. Collaborating with colleagues to develop and deliver tailored vocational, learning, and recreational programmes.
  3. Developing and delivering group sessions aligned with service users' outcomes.
  4. Building partnerships with external providers to enhance opportunities for service users.
  5. Contributing to the development of service user goals related to vocational, learning, and recreational activities.
  6. Organizing activities to meet rehabilitation goals and personal interests.
  7. Undertaking risk assessments for activities.
  8. Supporting service users in participating in activities.
  9. Designing, implementing, and leading activities supporting rehabilitation goals.
  10. Contributing to reviews and maintaining accurate records of progress.
  11. Participating in goal setting and rehabilitation review reports.
  12. Contributing ideas for service development and capital expenditure.
  13. Maintaining professional relationships with service users and creating a supportive environment.
About you
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment or devising activity programmes.
  • Understanding health and safety in activity design and access.
  • IT skills including email, Microsoft Office, and internet navigation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Full driving license and ability to drive service vehicles.
