Overview

We have an urgent requirement for multiple VRA Engineers to join one of our key customers. The successful candidates will work in a pair programming model alongside existing development teams and VMware specialists to refactor and optimize the existing code backlog.

This role is highly collaborative and will require strong technical proficiency in VMware vRealize Automation (VRA), Scripting, and automation best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal teams and VMware engineers to refactor, enhance, and maintain VRA code backlog.
  • Participate in pair programming sessions to ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance.
  • Support unit testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to validate new and existing workflows.
  • Create and maintain workflow documentation in Confluence.
  • Develop clear and structured onboarding documentation for new team members and stakeholders.
  • Follow agile methodologies and participate in code reviews and sprint planning.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven hands-on experience with VMware vRealize Automation (VRA) and VMware vRealize Orchestrator (vRO).
  • Strong background in Scripting languages (eg, PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, or similar).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure automation and ITSM integration.
  • Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for pair programming and cross-team work.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working in agile environments.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of API integrations and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
