Job Role: Welding Inspector

Location: Mansfield

Shift: Monday to Thursday 07:15 - 16:00, Friday 07:15 - 15:00

Pay Rate: £17.00, depending on experience

Manufacturing and engineering company across multiple industries, within structural, rail, and automotive, they are looking for a Welding Inspector to join them on a permanent basis.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Welding Inspector to carry out visual examinations of welds to ensure compliance with applicable standards, drawings, and specifications. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring welding quality and compliance on site or in the fabrication facility, identifying defects, and supporting quality assurance efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of welds in accordance with applicable standards
• Verify compliance with welding procedures and project specifications.
• Complete and maintain inspection reports and records.
• Liaise with welding teams to ensure understanding of quality requirements.
• Monitor and report on weld quality during fabrication and/or installation stages.
• Ensure adherence to site HSE regulations.
