We are seeking a Visual Studio .Net Software Engineer with experience in Visual Studio, .Net (C# and/or VB), and C/C++ application and systems development. The role involves designing and implementing equipment interface applications and processing information from complex robotic instruments. Key experience required includes:
- Windows development experience with Visual Studio .Net (C# and/or VB) and C/C++
- Interfacing with hardware, embedded development, and protocols
- BSc or equivalent in Computer Science or related Engineering/Scientific subject
- Experience with Windows Forms (Winforms) applications
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
- Familiarity with source control systems such as Subversion or Git
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery systems
- Understanding of interfacing techniques and communication protocols
You will work across the entire software lifecycle, including requirements capture, coding, equipment control, result analysis, user support, and practical application of results. Duties include:
- Software development for data acquisition, equipment control, logging, and analysis
- Participating in technical reviews such as code and document reviews
