Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Merchandising team, Field Based in Salisbury.

The primary function of the role is to maximise sales and margin through effective planning and trading of the division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Utilising historic data & trends to complete the planning and implementation of department and product strategy for sales, profit, and stock in line with objectives and critical path dates.
  2. Manage all elements of range planning, sales planning, space planning, profit planning, and terminal stock.
  3. Ensure range plans, product briefs, and design briefs are completed on time within the critical path, with correct content balance and value delivery. Plan volumes in line with selling periods and sell-through.
  4. Communicate amendments to product/design briefs effectively and ensure full agreement.
  5. Review sales, space, stock, profit performance, and trends to maximise sales and margin.
  6. Plan and manage promotions according to objectives, evaluating and reacting to optimise results.
  7. Ensure merchandise availability is optimal.
  8. Control open-to-buy coordination, ensuring sales and stock intake are consistent with plans and adjusted for performance.
  9. Plan and manage stock buy requirements to align with objectives and range development.
  10. Develop knowledge of store and competitor opportunities through visits.
  11. Manage stock allocation and replenishment effectively.
  12. Maintain accurate EDF file updates as required.
  13. Manage supplier relationships weekly to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.
  14. Complete all tasks in line with the critical path.
