Job summary

Mercor is seeking skilled Graphic Designers to create training data for AI models. You will work remotely up to 20 hours weekly, using a MacBook to execute branding, layout and typography tasks with clear rationale for design choices.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of design experience, proficiency in Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign or similar tools, and strong written communication. Immediate start preferred for flexible, async collaboration.

Qualifications

Position: Graphic Designers (Must own MacBook)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50–$60/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–20 hours/week

• Complete and narrate real graphic design tasks on your Mac to create high-quality training data for advanced AI models.
• Work through structured design workflows, emphasizing branding, layout, typography, and visual communication.
• Provide clear explanations of creative decisions to enhance AI model training.
• Collaborate asynchronously with research teams, ensuring flexibility and independence in task completion.
• Support the benchmarking and improvement of cutting-edge AI models.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 2–3 years of professional or freelance experience or current postgrad design students.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Affinity, or Canva.
• Own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

• Portfolio showcasing experience with branding, layout, typography, and visual communication.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed Master's studies, or Bachelor's from a prestigious institution.

Start Date

• Immediate start preferred.
