Job summary

Mercor is seeking skilled 3D artists and video editors to produce high-quality training data for AI models. You will work remotely, using MacBook hardware, on a part-time commitment of 10–20 hours per week.

Candidates should be proficient with major 3D and video tools and ready to explain creative choices to support model performance. Ideal applicants have 2–3 years of experience (or an MSc) from a prestigious institution, and possess strong communication skills to collaborate asynchronously

Qualifications

• Own a MacBook or Mac with Apple M-series or Intel processor
• Running macOS 15 or higher
• Proficiency in listed 3D/Video tools
• 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelor's or Masters in a prestigious program
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Complete and narrate real 3D and video editing tasks for AI training data
• Use tools like Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or After Effects
• Work independently with clearly structured responsibilities
• Explain creative decisions to improve AI model performance
• Collaborate asynchronously to meet deadlines and maintain data quality

Position: 3D Artists & Video Editors (Must own MacBook)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50–$60/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Complete and narrate real 3D and video editing tasks on your Mac to create high-quality training data for advanced AI models.
• Utilize tools such as Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects.
• Work independently with clearly structured responsibilities without high pressure.
• Explain creative decisions clearly while working to improve AI model performance.
• Collaborate asynchronously to meet deadlines and elevate training data quality.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher.
• Proficiency in Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects.
• Experience with modeling, texturing, animation, editing, color grading, or motion graphics.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed Master's studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelor's from a prestigious institution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
