About the Role

We are seeking a talented Visual Designer to join our Global Digital Team, working within the Global Visualisation Centre of Excellence. This role focuses on designing and building high-quality visualisation products that transform complex data into compelling, client-facing visual stories. The ideal candidate is passionate about visual storytelling, data visualisation, and creating impactful designs.

As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate closely with the Global Head of Visualisation and cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Brand, and Communications, to produce best-in-class, on-brand visuals, animations, presentations, and other ad-hoc materials. Your work will directly influence how global clients understand and interact with our digital products, making Gallagher Re’s offering more accessible, actionable, and visually compelling.

About You

You are a creative and detail-oriented Visual Designer with a passion for crafting visually stunning and impactful designs. You excel at translating complex ideas and data into clear, engaging visual stories that resonate with diverse audiences, including C-suite clients. With a strong foundation in design principles and a keen eye for aesthetics, you thrive in collaborative environments and are adept at delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines. Your ability to balance creativity with brand consistency makes you a key contributor to innovative, client-focused solutions.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Design and produce visually stunning content, including presentations, infographics, animations, and marketing materials for digital and print media.
• Lead the visual design of digital products, ensuring alignment with Gallagher Re’s brand and design system.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Brand, and Communications teams to maintain visual consistency across all outputs.
• Extend global brand guidelines to incorporate data visualisation best practices while ensuring brand compliance.
• Create high-quality graphics, illustrations, and layouts that adhere to a cohesive visual identity.
• Stay ahead of design trends, tools, and technologies to deliver innovative solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable visual solutions, iterating based on feedback and user testing.
• Integrate user experience design into product development for seamless, customer-centric solutions.
• Champion inclusive design practices and accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG), mentoring junior members of the team and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.
• Leverage expertise in data visualisation to communicate complex insights clearly.

Requirements

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Data Visualisation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven professional experience in visual design or a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing data visualisation and design projects.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Figma, or Sketch.
• Excellent understanding of typography, colour theory, layout principles, and data visualisation best practices.
• Experience with branding and creating visual identities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills

• Experience with motion graphics or animation (e.g., After Effects).
• Knowledge of UX/UI design principles.
• Familiarity with web development basics (HTML/CSS).
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or related industries.
• Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Flourish, D3.js, or Python libraries e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn).
• Expertise in cartography and map design.
