Job description

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience in the design industry.
• Experience with design systems and industry best practices, including designing with systems across surfaces and form factors.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in industry-standard UI-design software and formats, especially Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, including prepping and optimizing design artifacts for engineering.
• Knowledge of graphic design principles and user-centered design methodologies to assess execution, craft, longevity, and scale of designs with aesthetic sensibility.
• Effective communication skills, proactive feedback solicitation, and ability to work across EMEA and US timezones.
• Ability to prepare impactful presentations with appropriate templates and narratives to influence and inspire stakeholders.

As a Junior Visual Designer in the Health Platforms and Devices team, you will partner with your lead to execute designs, refine concepts, and bring creative visions to life, supporting AI patterns, evolving design systems, and collaborating across global teams to unify goals. Responsibilities

• Contribute to design standards and visual language across Health experiences, guided by user insights and design principles.
• Deliver diverse design solutions from concept to final product, reflecting Health’s brand voice and tone.
• Create detailed documentation of design system usage, specifications, and accessibility considerations.
• Maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships across US/EMEA teams throughout product development.
• Foster team culture and community within the broader Google visual design environment.
