A local educational charity in the UK is seeking a part-time Visual Arts Youth Worker to support their Alternative Provision programme. This role involves working with young people excluded from mainstream education, fostering positive relationships and making a difference in their lives through contemporary art. Applicants should have skills in managing complex young people, strong interpersonal abilities, and a passion for the arts.
Company Description
Fermynwoods Contemporary Art is an educational charity that supports life through art, by commissioning innovative and meaningful ways for artists to engage with audiences, in public spaces across Northamptonshire and online.
“Fermynwoods Contemporary Art is unique. It stands out in a world of budget constraints and cuts to services and equips them with the tools to thrive. For once, young people who are on the margins are offered something exciting and different instead of remedial education and social skills training.” - Sal McKeown, Education Today
