The opportunity :

Get ready for an exciting role as the Senior Visitor Services Officer at Mt Hotham where you’ll be at the heart of the action, coordinating all the outdoor village operations and ensuring our guests have the most epic experience possible.

Play a key role in managing car parks, outdoor village services, chain fitting bays, traffic control, village bus stops, and snow play areas. This is a dynamic role offering you the opportunity to experience all our resort has to offer, where every day brings new adventures.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Provide excellent service to all visitors, stakeholders, and business operators by delivering friendly, helpful, and accurate information in response to a range of enquiries including resort permits.
  • Coordinate the Visitor Services Attendants to manage car parks during the shift to maximise resort parking and manage traffic flow during peak travel periods and adverse weather events.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Visitor Services Attendants including assisting with rostering, training, and support as required, under the direction of the Visitor Operations Supervisor.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly operational meetings to ensure effective collaboration across the Visitor Experience department and ARV Mt Hotham more broadly.
  • Work collaboratively with the Visitor Services Supervisor to support the delivery of indoor operations, vehicle compliance, and resort entry check points.

Skills, experience and qualifications :

  • Minimum 2 years prior experience working in a customer-facing role.
  • Previous experience working outdoors, with experience working outdoors at night a bonus.
  • Proven experience in leading a large team in an operational role and ability to clearly articulate rules, procedures, and policies.
  • Experience driving in hazardous weather and road conditions.

Salary : $41.79 p / h including casual loading

The successful candidate will be required to :

  • Have full Australian working rights.
  • Hold a current Australian driver’s licence.

  • Available to work weekends and school holidays.
  • Available from June to 30 September 2025 (or the declared snow season).
