Job summary

Forestry England is recruiting an Operations Manager for High Lodge in Brandon. You will lead recreation operations, ensuring exceptional visitor experiences, responsible asset management and safety leadership across the site, with occasional travel to support wider areas.

The role oversees budgets, contracts and a collaborative, inclusive culture while aligning with Forestry England’s sustainability and wellbeing goals. Permanent, 37 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• High Lodge is a flagship destination with extensive facilities and events; lead recreation operations delivery and development across High Lodge and support wider beat areas.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, facility and asset management, health and safety leadership, contract oversight and budget management.
• Foster a positive, inclusive ‘one‑team’ culture and contribute to the East District strategy and Forestry England values.
