About the Role

ARU Writtle seeks a dedicated Visiting Officer to support students in their animal work placements. You will conduct assessments, monitor progress, and ensure safety and a positive learning environment, working closely with employers and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Visit and assess students in animal work base placements.
  2. Monitor health and safety standards in the workplace.
  3. Liaise with employers and teaching staff to support student development.
  4. Assist students in preparing for assessments.
  5. Support administrative tasks, record-keeping, and recruitment efforts.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with good IT skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and professional development.
  • Desirable: Assessor/Verifier qualification (A1/V1 or equivalent).
  • Required: Two A levels or vocational qualification at level 3 or equivalent.
