    At our ARU Writtle campus, we specialise in animal, environmental, agricultural and horticultural courses, for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

    About the Role:

    ARU Writtle is seeking a dedicated Visiting Officer to join our Veterinary Nursing team. In this vital role, you will support students in their work placements by carrying out assessments, monitoring progress, and ensuring a safe and effective learning environment. Youll work closely with employers and our teaching staff to help students thrive in their practical training.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit and assess students in veterinary practice placements.
  • Act as an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) for student portfolios.
  • Monitor health and safety in the workplace.
  • Liaise with employers and teaching teams to support learner development.
  • Assist students in preparing for End Point Assessments (EPA).
  • Support course administration, record-keeping, and recruitment efforts.
  • What Were Looking For:

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) who holds Level 3 Diploma or BSc in Veterinary Nursing.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident working independently with good IT proficiency.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous professional development.
  • Assessor/Verifier qualification (A1/V1 or equivalent) desirable
  • To be successful in this role you will have two A levels or vocational qualification at NVQ level 3

    or equivalent.

    It is expected that interviews will take place on 16th July
