Job Description:

We are seeking Visiting Moderators for GCE A Level Art and Design (2016 Specification). The moderators will visit centres to carry out moderation of work initially marked by teachers or assessors. Each moderator will oversee a specified number of centre samples.

This role covers the following counties: Berkshire, Greater Manchester, Guernsey, Humberside, North Yorkshire, Northern Ireland.

Responsibilities:
  • Moderate parts of the examination, such as coursework, projects, and special studies, which are marked by teachers and sent for moderation.
  • When necessary, directly assess school-based components where centres opt out of initial assessments.
  • Complete and submit centre reports to the Team Leader or Principal Moderator as required.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Qualified teacher status
  • UK-based teaching experience in the relevant qualification and subject
  • High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • IT literacy
