The Perse Upper School invites applications for an inspirational jazz piano teacher to join our Music Department. You will teach pupils aged 11–18 in half-hour jazz piano lessons each week as a self-employed Visiting Music Teacher, from November 2026, within a lively, inclusive program.

The role also covers leading jazz ensembles, supporting performances, and potential growth of pupil numbers in jazz and improvisation, with private lessons invoiced to parents under the School's Self-Employed

Qualifications

• Experience teaching jazz piano to secondary-age pupils.
• Ability to lead jazz ensembles and support performances.
• Willingness to work as a self-employed visiting music teacher.

Responsibilities

• Teach half-hour jazz piano lessons weekly to pupils aged 11–18.
• Lead jazz ensembles and help with performances.
