Job summary

Age Well East is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead the charity in Essex and Suffolk, delivering the strategy, guiding staff and volunteers, and ensuring high-performing, compassionate services for older people.

You will refine the business plan, grow diversified income, foster partnerships with commissioners and funders, uphold governance standards, and build resilience to extend impact across communities.

Qualifications

• More than 5 years in a senior leadership role within charity/health or community sectors.
• Proven track record of growing organisations and delivering strategic plans.
• Demonstrated ability to generate income from grants, contracts and partnerships.
• Experience reporting to a Board of Trustees and working with governance bodies.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with commissioners, NHS and local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the charity's strategy and annual business plan.
• Provide inspirational leadership to staff and volunteers.
• Strengthen relationships with commissioners, partners and funders.
• Oversee financial stewardship, budgeting and regulatory compliance.
• Expand reach and impact across Essex and Suffolk.
