Job summary

Sensory Audiology & Optical Recruitment is seeking a qualified optometrist to join our client in delivering high-quality eye care and contact lens services in line with GOC standards. The role focuses on comprehensive eye examinations, patient education and collaboration with dispensing staff to ensure excellent patient journeys.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, stay current with CPD requirements and contribute to clinical governance and service development.

Qualifications

• Registered optometrist with GOC registration.
• Experience performing comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens fittings.
• Ability to maintain accurate patient records and CPD compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens appointments and other related visits.
• Practice according to GOC regulations.
• Advise patients on visual health and preventative care.
• Collaborate with dispensing staff to ensure smooth patient journeys.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with standards.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment (OCT, fundus camera, tonometry, visual fields).
• Engage in CPD and participate in governance and quality assurance.
• Support practice growth through high-quality care and effective communication.
• Contribute to clinical governance and service development.
