Job summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking an inspirational Head Teacher to provide strategic leadership for Lancashire Virtual School. You will lead a skilled team and work across education, children’s social care and the wider partnership to raise attainment for looked after and vulnerable learners.

You will oversee Personal Education Plans, Pupil Premium expenditure, budgets and quality assurance, ensuring statutory duties are met and resources deliver impact.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with significant leadership and management experience.
• Proven track record of raising educational standards.
• Understanding of care-experienced and vulnerable learners.
• Strong analytical, communication and partnership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Lancashire Virtual School and improve outcomes for looked-after children.
• Lead Virtual School team and collaborate across education and children's social care.

• Ensure statutory duties are met and resources deliver impact.
