Qualifications

• Significant experience working with vulnerable children and young people including those in care or with social workers.
• Experience leading initiatives that improve educational outcomes, attendance or inclusion.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of corporate parenting and SEND.
• Experience working strategically with schools, colleges and partner agencies.
• Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to use data to identify priorities and drive improvement.
• Experience leading projects and service development.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent with evidence of leadership development.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Virtual School and champion educational needs of children in care.
• Deputise for the Head Teacher as required and support statutory duties.
• Lead initiatives and partnerships to raise aspirations and improve outcomes across education and children's services.
• Use data to identify priorities, target support, and drive school improvement.
