Job summary

Calderdale Council's Virtual School for Children Looked After is seeking a dedicated Case Lead. You will manage a caseload of Looked After Children, drive Personal Education Plans, and collaborate with schools, social care and partners to improve attendance and attainment.

You will also provide guidance on attachment-aware approaches and support Previously Looked After Children and Kinship Care cohorts, strengthening advocacy and educational outcomes across Calderdale.

Qualifications

• Experience improving educational outcomes for looked-after children and care leavers.
• Commitment to tackling inequality and narrowing the achievement gap.
• Ability to lead Personal Education Plans (PEPs) and coordinate multi-agency work.

Responsibilities

• Hold a caseload of Looked After Children and promote attendance and attainment.
• Lead and coordinate Personal Education Plans (PEPs) and provide advocacy.
• Work with schools, social care and partners to improve educational outcomes.
• Act as Virtual School lead for Previously Looked After Children and Kinship Care.
• Support attachment-aware and trauma-informed practice across settings.
