Longleat is seeking multiple bubbly and energetic VIP Tour Guides to join our team and help us continue our tradition of hiring engaged and productive employees.

Our Guests will embark on extraordinary VIP Tours that promise unforgettable moments. Imagine getting close up to our remarkable animals in our iconic Land Rover defenders – a truly 'once in a lifetime' encounter. They have the opportunity to witness the grace of giraffes, come face to face with our majestic lion pride, or partake in feeding our delightful deer herd. These unique experiences offer an exhilarating perspective of our park, a rare chance to connect with wildlife.

As a part of this adventure, as a VIP Tour Guide you'll report to the VIP Supervisor and drive small groups through the Safari Park. Your role blends captivating tour commentary about our diverse animals and expansive estate, all while prioritizing the safety and enjoyment of our cherished guests. Your journey awaits – driving, narrating, and safeguarding the magic of our VIP Tours.

Key duties will include:

  • Maintain the fullest knowledge of all aspects of the safari park, visitor attractions and the Estate to provide the best possible commentary and information to visitors during their VIP Tours. This includes specialist species knowledge, individual animal behaviour and entertaining facts.
  • Carry out up close animal experiences whilst observing the clearly defined procedures and liaising closely with the animal team.
  • Meet and greet guests before their VIP Tours, printing tickets, operating the till and making hot drinks whilst always offering a warm and friendly welcome.
  • Show excellent driving skills to manoeuvre the Land Rovers through the park both on and off road with a courteous and safe manner to other drivers, staff and the animals.
  • Be responsible for your own vehicle carrying out daily checks, reporting defects and ensure its outstanding cleanliness for professional guest service.

About you

  • It is essential that you have a full UK driving licence for this role to enable you to drive our Land Rovers.
  • You will have an excellent ability to recall large amounts of scientific information and speak to large groups in a confident manner.
  • You will be bubbly, energetic and enthusiastic, enabling you to engage with our guests on every level.
  • Confident multi-tasking skills to enable safe vehicle driving and guest communication will be one of your strengths
  • A flexibility to work hours in accordance with company requirements is essential.

Your contract

You will be on a fixed term contract ending 05 January 2025, with working hours to vary over a 7 day rota basis, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays as required. The earliest start time is 8am, and the latest finish time is 8pm, varying in accordance with opening times.
