Trafford Council's Public Health Directorate is seeking a Violence Reduction Co-ordinator to lead Trafford's public health approach to violence prevention. As Violence Reduction Co-ordinator, you will lead Trafford's response to the Serious Violence Duty, working with partners across policing, health, education, social care and the voluntary sector to deliver a public health approach to violence prevention.
This influential role offers the opportunity to shape strategy, commission services, drive system-wide change and secure better outcomes for residents. You will champion evidence-based approaches that address the root causes of violence, vulnerability and exclusion, helping create safer, healthier communities across Trafford.
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated professional with a background in public health, community safety, policing or a related field. You will have experience of leading partnerships, commissioning services, managing budgets and delivering complex programmes that improve outcomes for communities.
You will be confident in influencing stakeholders at all levels, using evidence and intelligence to inform decision-making and developing effective solutions to complex challenges. Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills are essential, along with a strong understanding of violence reduction, safeguarding and the wider factors that contribute to vulnerability and harm.
