Job description

The job itself

An enthusiastic member of staff is needed to complete a short-terms piece of strategic work to:

  • Review the East Riding of Yorkshire Serious Violence Response Strategy;
  • Identify progress against Delivery Plans linked to the strategy;
  • Refresh the strategy, ensuring it is aligned to the Community Safety Partnerships Strategic Plan and the Police and Crime Commissioners Police and Crime Plan and the Humber Violence Prevention Partnerships Response Strategy and Delivery Plan;
  • Prepare new multi-agency Delivery Plans.

Funded by the Home Office through the Humber Violence Prevention Partnership, this is a six-month fixed term post and offers an opportunity for a secondment, subject to approval from your line manager.

You must have considerable experience of partnership working in the crime and disorder field and demonstrate an extensive knowledge of the role of partner agencies and council services, which contribute towards delivery of the Serious Violence Duty.

You will either have experience in reviewing and developing strategy and delivery plans or demonstrate the skills to be able to do this with minimal supervision.

You will be highly organised, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. These will be used to prepare strategic documents and present them to partnership boards.

Whilst based in County Hall, Beverley, the post offers an opportunity for agile working, as agreed with your line manager.
