An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Health, Safety and Fire Department. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our team.
The post holder will provide support to all staff following an assault or a critical incident and will offer support to managers following an assault on their staff.
The role includes delivering bespoke training on site to mitigate risks from clinically challenging behaviour, with fluency in Welsh being desirable but not essential.
The post involves developing and implementing specific Health Board procedures based on nationwide guidance, legislation, and good practice to reduce violent incidents. This includes advising on legal sanctions and prosecutions against perpetrators, and adopting measures such as patient exclusions or anti-social behaviour orders.
The post holder will be responsible for Violence and Aggression Case Management within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB), contributing to a safe environment for staff and the public, ensuring high standards of clinical care.
Responsibilities also include reviewing violent incidents to share lessons across the organization, and delivering training modules on personal safety, de-escalation, breakaway techniques, and the safe management of clinically challenging behaviour.
