Job description

BCHA are a charitable housing association supporting individuals and families across the South West and South of England. We are a major provider of a diverse range of housing, support and learning services for socially excluded people.

The Respite Rooms supports single women experiencing homelessness, violence against women and girls (VAWG) and multiple disadvantage, by providing safe and secure temporary accommodation.

Position:

You will have experience working with homeless people and/or other socially excluded people with a sound understanding of safeguarding and adhering to safeguarding practices. Ideally, you will have knowledge of VAWG and the unique challenges women experience whilst they are homeless.

  • be a resilient, confident, calm, practical & pragmatic person;
  • be self-motivated, proactive, assertive, empathic and non-judgemental;
  • have good listening, questioning and written skills.
