ViiV Global Medical Affairs Director - Paediatrics

Role Overview: As the Global Medical Affairs Director - Paediatrics, you will ensure that Medical Affairs physicians and scientists develop deep medical expertise on ViiV medicines and related topics, including disease understanding, competitive landscape, payer/provider environment, and emerging data.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead strategic analysis and design of medicine readiness programs across Medical Affairs to demonstrate deep medical expertise.
  2. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver timely medicine readiness programs for all launch medicines and roles within Medical Affairs.
  3. Evaluate global medicine readiness needs continuously.
  4. Develop and maintain tailored medicine readiness programs based on adult learning principles for all Medical Affairs supported activities.
  5. Deliver and update curricula for the Medical Website and other training tools.
  6. Assess and implement effective learning methods considering current environmental factors.
  7. Develop ongoing role readiness programs and learning plans, including onboarding resources for new hires.
  8. Identify and address knowledge gaps through skills and knowledge programs.
  9. Collaborate with Medical Affairs leaders to incorporate emerging data into curricula.
  10. Partner with global franchises to align training strategies and materials.
  11. Promote a continuous learning organization by sharing strategies across locations.
  12. Participate in transformative initiatives within Paediatrics programs worldwide.

Qualifications:

Basic:

  • Medical Doctor/PharmD or biomedical science degree
  • Experience in designing and developing training programs
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Paediatric HIV clinical experience

Preferred:

  • Master's or PhD in a related science field
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and Medical Affairs
  • Clinical trial experience
  • Business acumen
