Job summary

OM Security Ltd. in Woking seeks an Enhanced DBS Security Officer to safeguard our premises. The role focuses on securing site overnight and opening in the morning, while maintaining vigilance across entrances and surroundings.

You will perform regular patrols, control access for staff, visitors and contractors, respond to alarms, and log incidents and footage in line with company policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security operations, preferably within an educational environment.
• Excellent observational skills with an eye for detail in surveillance footage and physical surroundings.
• Effective communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally.
• Valid Enhanced DBS check clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a full Lock Up of the premises ensuring all building and locked and alarmed.
• Carry out a full unlock of the premises ensuring it is ready for business.
• Perform regular external patrols of the premises to ensure physical security measures are maintained and hazards are addressed.
• Manage access control procedures, verifying staff, visitors and contractors.
• Respond promptly to security alarms or incidents, coordinating with emergency responders when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and surveillance footage in accordance with company policies.
