As a Remote Interpreter, you will facilitate communication between clients and individuals with limited English proficiency by providing interpreting services over the phone or through video calls. Your role involves interpreting conversations accurately and efficiently in various professional settings.

• Interpreting between English and your native language over the phone or video.
• Providing interpretation services to clients with limited English proficiency.
• Interpreting for legal, health, and local government services.
• Checking understanding after each sentence.
• Providing conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
• Ensuring accurate, confidential, and impartial interpreting services.
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the Code of Conduct.

About You

• Fluent in English and another language.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Age 21 or over.
• Qualifications such as:
  • Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
  • Community Interpreting
  • NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration (advantageous)
  • Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
