Calex is a specialist training and consultancy organisation contracted to several market-leading automotive manufacturers.

Job Opportunity: Videographer

We are currently seeking to recruit a Videographer on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract (with the possibility of extension) to join the Mercedes-Benz Cars and Vans Digital Learning Development and Media Team, based in Milton Keynes.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be based at the Mercedes-Benz Training Centre in Milton Keynes (MK15 8BA) and will join the Digital Learning Development and Media Team.

The primary responsibility is to create informative, educational, and engaging training films to support training delivery. You will collaborate with the Training Delivery & Development teams to identify media requirements and develop new films from concept to final production. The role may also involve work for the wider business.

All projects should be delivered to a high standard, aligned with brand guidelines and deadlines.

This position is ideal for candidates with ambition, creativity, and proven experience in filming and editing high-quality video content.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Videography: Filming, editing, and ensuring brand guideline compliance, including branding elements like opening stings and end boards.
  2. Production: Demonstrate understanding of camera operation, lighting, and editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Experience with live streaming and other Adobe CC tools is desirable.
  3. Creative Development: Develop storyboards and shot lists, provide direction, and suggest enhancements to final videos.
Qualifications and Experience
  • At least two years of experience in videography and editing
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in teams
  • Experience with photography and animation is a plus
  • Driving license is essential for location filming across UK
  • Drone operation and licensing are desirable

You should possess a positive, team-oriented attitude, be adaptable, proactive, organized, and capable of meeting deadlines. Flexibility for offsite filming, events, and out-of-hours work is required.
