Job summary

Reach plc is seeking a skilled Newsroom Video Producer to drive the Daily Express YouTube programming, including flagship shows such as Daily Expresso and Royals Unscripted. The role combines editorial judgment with studio production across a fast-paced, modern newsroom.

You will direct multi-camera shoots, edit long-form features, and optimise content for subscriber growth and watch time on YouTube and other social platforms.

Qualifications

• NCTJ or BJTC qualification with proven breaking news experience
• Solid knowledge of UK media law, copyright, and editorial standards
• Experience with DSLRs/mirrorless cameras and studio lighting
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and on-camera presenting
• Understanding of YouTube algorithms, thumbnails, and analytics

Responsibilities

• Produce and edit long-form newsroom video for YouTube, including flagship shows.
• Direct multi-camera studio productions and operate behind the camera.
• Pitch original visual concepts daily in a fast-paced newsroom.
• Optimise content for subscriber growth, watch time, and platform performance
