Job Opportunity: Video Producer at Bauer Media Audio

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Video Producer to join the team at Bauer Media Audio in Scotland, based at Clyde 1 in Glasgow, covering the Hits Radio and Greatest Hits Radio Networks in Scotland.

Reporting to the Digital Editor, we seek an experienced Video Producer with comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of video production, a strong shooter with a passion for postproduction.

You will work with a talented team, creating and shaping engaging video content and social media benchmarks.

You should be a quick and effective editor, experienced in conducting shoots and managing talent.

You must understand Bauer’s Scottish radio brands, their target audiences on social media, and possess a strong knowledge of entertainment and football culture relevant to Scotland.

You are a creative individual with a keen eye for detail, capable of bringing video concepts to life.

You should know how to deliver video content tailored for social platforms, understanding the variations needed for each.

This position is office-based, working hours from 12pm to 8pm (Monday to Friday), with occasional weekend work as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Writing, producing, and distributing accurate, on-brand, and engaging content.
  • Staying updated on social media video editing trends, personalities, memes, and cultural conversations.
  • Editing short and long-form videos for social accounts and YouTube channels.
  • Assisting the social team with content distribution and scheduling.
  • Managing video production projects in studio and on location.
  • Handling video equipment, including lighting, ensuring all gear is maintained and reporting faults.
  • Collaborating on digital best practices, creating graphics, compelling edits, thumbnails, and content formats to boost engagement.
  • Taking on roles of director or producer when needed, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.
  • Supporting digital and design tasks as required.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Knowledge of camera, sound, and lighting equipment.
  • Experience in shooting and editing, with a good understanding of social media video content.
  • Strong storytelling skills and editorial judgment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and direct talent.
  • Understanding of Bauer’s Scottish brands and knowledge of Scottish football and audiences.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and sound design skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver quality results under pressure.
  • Comfortable with Mac computers.
  • Storyboarding and scripting skills.
  • Awareness of media law, Ofcom regulations, and health and safety on shoots.
  • Graphic and animation skills, including Photoshop and After Effects, are advantageous.
  • Proactive, quick-thinking, and calm under pressure.
  • Team-oriented with stakeholder management skills.
