Job summary

Synthires is seeking a Video Editor to support an AI video annotation project. You will apply frame-by-frame analysis to label actions, object interactions, timing, continuity, and outcomes to train next‑gen AI systems.

This role is contract-based, remote, and expects independent work with precise visual judgment. Applicants should have a background in video editing and a strong eye for detail, with familiarity in Premiere Pro or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Review robotic-arm footage using annotation guidelines.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking Video Editors to support a video annotation project involving footage of robotic arms completing real-world tasks. You’ll use your expertise in video analysis, timing, continuity, and visual judgment to create accurate training data for next-generation AI systems.

No prior AI, robotics, or data annotation experience is required — your visual and editing expertise is what matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Review robotic-arm video footage using detailed annotation guidelines.
• Identify and label actions, object interactions, transitions, outcomes, and errors.
• Apply frame-by-frame analysis to determine when actions begin, change, and end.
• Use annotation tools to mark video events precisely and consistently.
• Flag unclear footage and document visual observations and ambiguities.
• Review annotations and provide quality-control feedback when requested.
• Complete assigned batches accurately and within deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Professional or academic background in video editing, filmmaking, post-production, or audiovisual production.
• Strong understanding of timing, continuity, movement, and visual consistency.
• Excellent attention to detail during frame-level video review.
• Ability to follow detailed guidelines consistently and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, or similar tools.
• Previous experience with video annotation, visual QA, AI training, or robotics.
• Experience reviewing footage for detailed timing and continuity issues.

Compensation

• Competitive compensation of $50–$90/hour.
