Job summary

Playground Games Limited is seeking a Video Editor to join the Fable team in Leamington Spa on an agency contract. You will work with the Media team to capture, edit and deliver compelling game content for marketing campaigns and community engagement.

Hybrid working with a minimum of three days per week in the studio, reporting to the Marketing/Media team and collaborating across departments to develop cinematic assets that bring Fable to life.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in post-production for games or film.
• Strong knowledge of video editing terminology, workflows and best practices.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop) to create high‑quality assets.

Playground Games is looking for a Video Editor to work alongside talented Fable team in Leamington Spa on an agency contract.

About the role

As a Video Editor, you will work closely with the Media team to create engaging content that showcases our games to audiences around the world. Combining expertise in game capture, cinematography, and video editing, you will capture, edit, and deliver high-quality visual assets that support marketing campaigns, player engagement, and brand storytelling.

Using your skills in storytelling, cinematic theory, lighting, framing, and composition, you will craft compelling content that brings our games to life. Working collaboratively with teams across the studio, you will help create memorable experiences that resonate with players and strengthen our connection with the community.

This position is offered on an agency contract, with the successful candidate employed by one of our trusted recruitment partners and assigned to work with Playground Games. The role is based at our state-of-the-art studio in Royal Leamington Spa, operating under our hybrid working model with a minimum of three days per week in the studio.

We are looking for a passionate Video Editor to capture, create, and edit compelling content that brings Fable to life, connects with our community, and delivers unforgettable player experiences.

What you'll do:

• Capture high-quality game footage and screenshots from various platforms including Console, PC, and directly from the game engine.
• Collaborate closely with content teams to stage, compose, sequence, and capture compelling game material.
• Edit and produce engaging content using game footage for both internal presentations and external marketing purposes.
• Work with content teams to concept and develop the visual style of marketing assets, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand standards.
• Create a variety of external materials, including promotional videos, trailers, social media content, and other marketing assets.
• Review and refine video content based on feedback from stakeholders, ensuring high standards of quality and alignment with creative vision.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the quality of our video content.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in post-production within the game or film industry.
• Deep knowledge of video editing terminology, workflows, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to utilise Adobe Creative Suite products (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.) to create high-quality video assets.
• Experience with video compositing and motion graphics is preferred.
• Highly skilled in game capture, cinematography, lighting & editorial.
• Familiarity with cinematic or sequencing tools (Unreal, Unity, Motion Builder etc.)
• Strong ability to take constructive feedback and incorporate it into revisions, ensuring final assets meet all project requirements.
