IT Service Desk Contractor - Windows 11 Rollout Support
Contract: 4+ Months | Day Rate up to £165 per day (Inside IR35, via PAYE)
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)
Hours: 35 hours per week

We're seeking a proactive and technically capable IT Service Desk Contractor to support our busy IT team during a key period of transformation. This short-term contract role offers the chance to contribute directly to our Windows 11 rollout, support day-to-day IT operations, and play a vital role in keeping our museum staff connected and productive.

Key Responsibilities

  1. New starter and leaver processing (account creation, access setup)
  2. Installing RAM and SSDs in laptops for Windows 11 compatibility
  3. Providing 1st line IT support (onsite and remote)
  4. Logging and resolving tickets using Topdesk
  5. User account management in Active Directory

What We're Looking For

  1. Previous experience in a service desk or IT support role
  2. Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (Windows 10/11, Office 365, AD)
  3. Comfortable with hands-on hardware upgrades
  4. Great communication and problem-solving skills
  5. Experience with Topdesk is a plus
